What we collect
When you ask for a quote using our form
Your name, phone number, email address (if you give it), the service you need and the details of the damage you describe.
When you contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email
Your name, phone number or email address, and anything you send us, such as photos of your vehicle, its make, model and registration.
When we repair your vehicle
Your contact details, vehicle details, the work carried out, payment records and, for insurance work, your claim and insurer details.
When you use the website
Our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information such as IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and working. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the site, such as the pages you visit and roughly where you are. See our cookie policy for details.
The chat assistant on this website runs entirely in your browser. It does not store or send what you type. If you choose to continue the conversation on WhatsApp, your message is sent to us through WhatsApp.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
- To carry out repairs and keep you updated. Lawful basis: performing our contract with you.
- To deal with insurance claims. Lawful basis: performing our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in being paid for work carried out.
- To keep business, tax and accounting records. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
- To keep the website secure and working. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
- To understand how the website is used (analytics). Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
We don’t use your information for automated decision making and we won’t send you marketing unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with providers who help us run the business, and only as much as they need:
- SiteGround, who host this website.
- Formspree, who deliver messages sent through our quote form to us.
- Google, for Google Analytics (only if you accept analytics cookies) and Google Maps (only if you choose to load the map).
- WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp.
- Trustindex, whose widget shows reviews from our Google Business Profile on this website.
- Your insurer, if your repair is part of an insurance claim.
- Our accountant, and any authority we are legally required to share information with.
Some of these providers process information outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK Extension to the EU US Data Privacy Framework, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don’t lead to a job: up to 2 years, then deleted.
- Customer, job and invoice records: 6 years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as required for tax purposes.
- Analytics data: up to 14 months.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that’s wrong
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to limit how we use it, or object to us using it
- ask us to transfer it to someone else

How we keep it safe
This website uses SSL encryption, and our systems and accounts are kept up to date and protected with strong passwords. Only people who need your information to do their job can access it.
Complaints
